Go Short supports short film talent and serves as a meeting place where filmmakers, professionals, and audiences come together. This year, we have several activities for Dutch screenwriters, including Screenwriters Meet Producers and the Writersroom. Both activities are organized in collaboration with the Lira Fund.

Go Short has invited several producers who are eager to hear your ideas and might even be interested in a follow-up meeting. This is the perfect opportunity for screenwriters to pitch their ideas, expand their network, and receive valuable advice! Saturday, April 5, 14:00-17:00
The Writersroom consists of an innovative two-part program. The first session takes place during the festival, while the second occurs about a month later. You will have the opportunity to work with Gwyneth Sleutel, a professional script coach, who will provide valuable feedback on your short film plan or script alongside other screenwriters. After submitting your film plan or script in advance, you will participate in two group sessions with three other screenwriters and a coach. This comprehensive session offers in-depth feedback and opportunities for follow-up discussions to help elevate your script. Through the Writersroom, you will take a step closer to bringing your film to life with a unique chance to improve your screenwriting skills.

Terms & Conditions: The script or treatment/plan must be in Dutch and intended for a short film, either fiction or documentary. Participants must have written at least one script that has been produced and publicly screened (in cinemas, on television, or at a festival). Registrations for the Writersroom will not be processed without a professional accreditation or day pass.
