Register for the Producers Campus

The campus program at Go Short is back! For the 17th edition of the festival, Go Short is organizing a chock-full three-day program for producers. Are you a short film producer and have you completed at least three short films or other audiovisual projects? Are you interested in making new connections and eager to learn more about pitching and coproducing? Sign up for the Producers Campus.

From Wednesday 2 April to Saturday 5 April, Go Short will host a specially organized and in-depth program for twelve producers, approximately half of whom are from the Netherlands and half from other countries within geographical Europe. There is room for ten (short) film producers and two producers who specialize in other audiovisual productions, such as film installations, VR or narrative games. The registration is open until Tuesday 18 February.

The program

On Wednesday April 2nd, the campus kicks off with a shared lunch. After the lunch, it is time to get some fresh air. The campus participants get to know each other during a walking tour through the city. After exploring the historic streets of Nijmegen, we head to the screening room, where all participants briefly introduce themselves and give an impression of their work. At 5 PM, the campus participants join the industry drinks, followed by a dinner with the campus group. In the evening, the campus participants join a film screening with a Q&A, offering a behind-the-scenes look and insights into how the festival program is created.

Thursday April 3rd, the program starts at 10 AM with a pitching workshop focused on presenting yourself. At 11:30, the participants join the filmmakers' brunch, a perfect opportunity to meet the other filmmakers who attend the festival. After the brunch, the pitch workshop continues, followed by a session on co-producing. Once again, the evening program features industry drinks, dinner with the campus group, a film screening, and an exclusive Q&A session.

On Friday April 4th, the day begins at 10 AM with breakfast meetings. Here, participants can put their new pitching skills to the test and connect with key players in the (short) film industry. In the afternoon, the campus participants join the Dutch Short Film Pitch, where ten short film projects from the Netherlands are presented: five in development and five in production. Later in the afternoon, one-on-one meetings will take place for which the campus participants are matched with industry guests. This matchmaking is done before the festival based on the ambitions shared during the application process. As always, the day wraps up with drinks at 5 PM, followed by dinner and a film screening. Additionally, the campus participants have time throughout Thursday and Friday to check out Go Short’s expanded cinema program.

Sunday April 5th, the final day of the campus program, is all about reflection. During a coaching session, participants can brainstorm about challenges in the field and/or reflect on the past few days. After this session, everyone gathers for one last shared lunch, marking the end of the campus. However, participants are welcome to stick around and use their accreditation to attend film screenings or parts of the professionals' program after the campus program has ended.
