This program brings together films where artists navigate their position in relation to what they see. The camera, always present, becomes a tool of engagement—framing, measuring, and questioning. Even the slightest movement shifts perception: what is closest to the camera is the person holding it, while what lies in the distance is constantly changing.
Everyone involved takes a stance—from the artist in the act of filming to the viewer in the act of watching. The artist remains outside—an observer, a listener, a traveler—challenging systems, opening spaces, and dissolving inherited limitations. Distance is measured through the yardsticks of memory, the laws of the state, a footstep, a ritual, a conflict. Rooted in deep artistic practices, these films invite us to explore the spaces they create and the possibilities they imagine.
