Balkan chaos and a smoked bacon fiesta in the homestead create the perfect environment to make one say “Visai Baika!”
This giggly phrase in the household Lithuanian language is used to equate a serious situation to a joke or a trifle, removing any sense of hardship.
The clip alludes to the quarrel between the young and old generations and their superficial attitudes toward each other when it becomes difficult to get along under one roof. What gets under the skin of the old-school generation is the young generation's turning away from traditions and the attitude that what is old, rural, and Lithuanian is not cool. In contrast, the older generation is critical of new ideas and strictly adheres to its beliefs.
Kedrostubùras dispels the hostile attitudes of both positions. It is not worth searching for meanings and hidden thoughts. With their work of movement and dance, they invite everyone to an unstoppable and never-ending sway toward life's greatest celebration of lollygagging.
Because, after all, it is Visai Baika.
