Dutch Short Film Pitch

Are you a filmmaker based in the Netherlands, working on a short film? Do you have a strong film plan in an early stage of development or a work-in-progress that you would like to present to national and international professionals from the (short) film industry? Then submit your film plan now for the Dutch Short Film Pitch, organized by Go Short and Screen Talent NL.

During the 17th edition of Go Short on Friday, April 4, 2025, ten short film projects of Dutch origin will be pitched to an audience of film professionals: five short films in development and five short films in production. The two best pitches will ultimately each receive a prize worth €4,000, made available by Screen Talent NL. In addition, QISSA will provide a prize for the most innovative film idea, in the form of a development project worth €1,000.

The Dutch Short Film Pitch collaborates with CineSud and Cannes Cinéma de Demain to offer the filmmaker with the strongest film plan access to the Festival de Cannes. CineSud invites this filmmaker to participate in the Dutch Talents to Cannes track, including prep meetings, on-site participation and accommodation in Cannes from May 16 to May 22. In addition, the filmmaker will receive a free accreditation to the Festival de Cannes that will give the filmmaker access to the SFC | Rendezvous Industry professional events, as well as a 45-minute one-on-one tutoring session on location in Cannes (supported by Short Film Corner | Rendezvous Industry).

In addition, the selected filmmakers will also participate in an online pitch training session in preparation for the actual pitch. This session will take place on Tuesday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. and will take one half-day session.

With the Dutch Short Film Pitch, Go Short and Screen Talent NL join forces to reach film talent from all over the Netherlands and bring them into contact with the right people. The Dutch Short Film Pitch is a unique opportunity to involve the national and international short film industry in your film plan at an early stage, to generate more attention for your short film and to put yourself in the spotlight with leading international (short) film programmers, producers and distributors.

Because the film plans will be pitched to an international audience, this pitch will be in English. You may decide for yourself whether to submit your film plans in Dutch or English. This does not affect the selection of the film plans. Have any questions? Mail to pitch@goshort.nl
